The Upland Holistic Development Foundation (UHDF) provides learning opportunities and warmly welcomes everyone who would like to visit and learn from our work. We are committed to promoting sustainable upland development by sharing knowledge and practical experiences to support development in the economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
Open House for Study Visits – We welcome government agencies, organizations, academics, students, and individuals interested in learning about approaches to sustainable upland development. At our center, visitors can explore a variety of learning activities and facilities, including a tree seedling nursery, pig raising using the deep-litter system, agroforestry plots, ethnic cooking demonstrations, and natural beekeeping with native honeybees. We also provide accommodation facilities and meeting rooms for groups and organizations visiting for study and learning purposes.
Training and Knowledge Services on Tree Seedling Nursery Development
We welcome government agencies, organizations, academics, students, and interested individuals to visit and learn about approaches to sustainable upland development. In addition, our organization has a tree seedling nursery that provides opportunities for visitors to learn about seedling production and nursery management.
Learning from Agroforestry for Sustainable Development
The Upland Holistic Development Foundation (UHDF) offers agroforestry study visits for government agencies, organizations, students, farmers, and anyone interested in sustainable upland development. These visits provide opportunities to learn from practical experience and explore agroforestry practices that support biodiversity, sustainable food systems, and forest-based foods. Activities include:
Learning Small-Scale Livestock Farming for Community Food Security
Study visits on small-scale livestock farming, including deep-litter pig raising, frog farming, and fish farming, provide practical livelihood opportunities for smallholder farmers. These activities require relatively limited space and investment and can be integrated with mixed farming systems, helping households strengthen food security and generate additional income.
Learning from Local Seeds for Community Food Security
Our foundation recognizes the importance of preserving local seeds as valuable agricultural resources and as an essential foundation for community food security. We focus on conserving local seed varieties and facilitating seed exchange among farmers to help preserve agricultural diversity, strengthen local food systems, and support farmers’ ability to maintain and share their own seed resources.
